About Playbox
Playbox was founded in 1995 and is a company based in Småland, Sweden with it's head office, wearhouse and in-house production located in Älmhult. We also have a wholly owned subsidiary in China. Today, Playbox employs 45 people in Sweden and 24 in China. Playbox offers all kinds of craft materials for all ages and skill levels. Our products are sold in over 35 countries with Sweden and Germany being our largest markets. The products are available in bulk for school distributors and in smaller packages for retailers.
At Playbox, we believe it's essential to take responsibility for the environment and to work sustainably. Playbox was the first company in the world to produce ironing beads made from sugarcane. We are now working to reduce our climate footprint by producing beads from recycled materials and by moving more of our production closer to Europe.
